Mac Gargan was involved in a experiment that would help Mac capture Spider-Man for Mr. Jameson. However the experiment went wrong and drove Mac insane and escapes the facility with the Scorpion suit. Already having the powers of super strength, enhanced speed and reflexes, the suit provides a tail that is able to spew acid anywhere. Because of this, the Scorpion makes one of Spider-Man’s deadliest villains.
